Kyle
Founder / Director of Operations and Accounts
What do you love about your job?
Even after all these years, I still love every aspect of my role within the business. I take great pride in the operational side of things and still get a genuine sense of excitement from the everyday milestones, even running payments to our trusted supply chain.
What I enjoy most is the variety my role brings. It allows me to connect with every department within the company, giving me a full understanding of the projects we’re delivering and those we’re working towards securing. Being involved across the business keeps every day interesting and reinforces the team-focused approach that makes what we do so rewarding.
What are your favourite type of projects?
My favourite type of project would have to be commercial work. These projects are often large in scale and can deliver a real “wow” factor once completed. Whether we are creating feature walls and ceilings or incorporating unique, detailed joinery elements, the finished results always look fantastic. Knowing that our work is seen and appreciated by a wide audience makes commercial projects incredibly fulfilling to be part of.
What is your experience in the industry?
I began my career with a carpentry apprenticeship straight from school. Then, after working in both domestic and commercial carpentry, I progressed to a Lead Foreman role. With over ten years of hands-on experience, I went on to establish Inspired Worx, building a broad portfolio across commercial projects and high-end residential refurbishments, including Grade-listed properties.

What do you love about your job?
The teams on site delivering the work, to the clients we work with, it’s the relationships that make the job so rewarding. There’s a real sense of pride in bringing everyone together to achieve a shared goal and seeing a project evolve from concept to completion through teamwork and trust is something I enjoy.
What are your favourite type of projects?
Bespoke Cat “B” Office fit outs that are design lead and not built to a budget. These projects allow for creativity, attention to detail, and a focus on quality, resulting in spaces that are both functional and visually distinctive. It’s always satisfying to deliver environments that truly reflect a client’s vision.
What is your experience in the industry
I’m a qualified Carpenter by trade and have worked in the Construction and fit out industry for over 30 years now.
Josh
Director & Overseeing Domestic Projects
What do you love about your job?
I love the variety of works we undertake, meeting clients and watching a project go from the first meeting through to hand over – being a part of it all is very satisfying.
What are your favourite type of projects?
Large renovation projects with full fit out packages are my personal favourite type of projects. It’s great to see the full project come together, from start to finish.
What is your experience in the industry
I am a carpenter with 8 years’ experience working on high end residential projects with an award winning builder, and I’ve been Director since 2016 with Inspired Worx where my role was to develop and grow the domestic size of the business.

Health & Safety Manager (NEBOSH)
What do you love about your job?
Without a doubt, it’s the team. We’ve built a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone is committed to delivering exceptional results. I also enjoy the variety the role brings, no two days are the same, and every project presents new challenges and opportunities to learn, grow, and improve.
What are your favourite types of projects?
One of the most rewarding projects I’ve been involved in was 100 Wellsway, a full transformation where an old bungalow was demolished to make way for a brand-new home. Seeing a project from demolition through to completion is incredibly satisfying.
What is your experience in the industry?
I started at Inspired Worx supporting project take-offs, pricing, and minor Health and Safety tasks. As the company grew, my role evolved into a dedicated Health and Safety position, giving me greater responsibility across the business. I’ve also completed my NEBOSH Management in Construction qualification, which has strengthened my knowledge and confidence in maintaining high safety and compliance standards on every project.

What do you love about your job?
I love, the team we have, all the different characters, personalities! But the main thing for me is going into a project/house that is very outdated/tired and completely transforming it into someone’s home! That’s what makes it all worth it!
What are your favourite type of projects?
My favourite project is the biggest, funkiest architectural ones! With tricky details and lots to work out! (The challenging ones).
What is your experience in the industry
I went straight from school into a 3-year bespoke joinery apprenticeship & stayed working in a workshop for another 3 years. I then left to go self-employed to expand my skills and knowledge. (For Inspired Worx) I made my way up through the ranks from a carpenter to site supervisor to site manager & now project manager (still with Inspired Worx) the role I have always been setting in my future goals!

Project Manager – Commercial
What do you love about your job
My favourite part of my job is easily the people I get to work with. We have a great people throughout Inspired Worx, my role means I get to spend time with lots of people including multiple different site teams and everyone back at the office.
What are your favourite type of projects?
Design lead office fit outs. Never the same and always provide different challenges, but our site team always provide a perfect finish.
What is your experience in the industry?
I have 10+ years of hands-on experience working on the tools, which gave me a strong practical understanding of the trade and how projects come together on site. That foundation naturally led me into my current role, where I’ve now spent the past 8 years building on that experience, developing a broader skill set, and taking on greater responsibility across projects and teams.
Matt
Project Manager – Commercial
What do you love about your job?
Being part of such an amazing team!
What are your favourite type of projects?
I particularly enjoy projects with a quick turnaround. They keep the pace high, require strong organisation, and demand clear communication across the team.
What is your experience in the industry?
My background is architectural. I trained in the drawing office for the CEGB/National Grid in the “civil” department, stayed there for 8 years, then moved into Cathodic Protection for a couple of years, then onto architectural aluminium system design for multi-million pound projects.
I then fell into project management for an interiors specialist. Head-hunted twice, so had a couple of moves between companies, then decided I wanted to go back to more architecturally focused work so became self-employed/limited company. A mixture of commercial and domestic whilst also acting as a main contractor within the office fit-out industry, employing Inspired Worx as one of my sub-contractors on many occasions!
I was then offered a position within the business and took it as I love working with them that much!
Eve
Office Manager
What do you love about your job?
My role is really varied, from ordering materials and managing accounts to bookkeeping, general organizing and various admin. Which means no two days are ever the same, and I’m usually juggling a bit of everything to make sure the onsite and office-based teams have what they need to get the job done. I love the variety. There’s always something different going on, and I enjoy being at the centre of it all, It’s really satisfying being part of a hardworking team and knowing that what I do helps keep projects moving forward.
What are your favourite types of projects?
I’d say domestic projects are my favourite, from extensions to full house refurbs, I love knowing that the work we’re doing is going to make a real difference to someone’s home and day-to-day life. I enjoy being involved behind the scenes, it’s really satisfying watching it all come together so the client gets a space they’re happy with.
What is your experience in the industry?
I’ve been with the company for nearly 10 years, so I’ve built up a strong understanding of how the industry works day to day. Over that time, I’ve gained plenty of hands-on experience in accounts, bookkeeping and office management. Being here for so long means I know the ins and outs of the business, and I’m always learning something new along the way.

What do you love about your job?
I love the variety in my role, whether it’s visiting sites and gathering content, or writing case studies on completed projects. Also being able to share the quality workmanship we provide with everyone is very rewarding.
What are your favourite type of projects?
I’m especially passionate about projects involving period homes (Victorian & Edwardian era), where we can restore the property’s original craftsmanship and preserve the charm it has always had, while transforming it into the client’s dream home.
What is your experience in the industry?
After leaving school, I completed a City & Guilds apprenticeship in Digital Marketing. Before joining Inspired Worx, I hadn’t worked in the construction industry, so it was an entirely new venture for me. As my position at Inspired Worx was newly created, I had the opportunity to apply my marketing knowledge to the world of construction.
