Description

We began by removing the existing kitchen and flooring before taking down the internal wall, which in this instance was non-load-bearing. Once exposed, the existing subfloors were found to be unsuitable for the new flooring, so we created a new, level and even subfloor using a latex pour.

Before completing the flooring work, we rerouted the electrical cables to suit the new layout and adapted the heating pipework. We also opened up the existing fireplace to create space for a new wood-burning stove.

Once the preparation and structural work were complete, we replastered and decorated the entire space. The new kitchen was then installed through our sister company, Barleywood Kitchens.

The finished result is a modern, free-flowing and sociable space that the clients can enjoy for years to come.
